This guy is such an idiot. He is all that is wrong with college sports. The mere concept that the Big Ten is being mistreated by the NCAA is as idiotic as the day is long. Baseball in the South and West is just superior to northern teams. You don't see us demanding anything because of the weather.

How about the Big10 programs just build dome stadiums.

I really hate Jim Delany. If Satan were a sports league commissioner, he'd be Jim Delany. Why don't the Big Twen schools build domed baseball stadiums if they're so worried about the weather? It's not like they are hurting for money to the point that they couldn't afford it.

I can't remember the last time Florida (or the SE for that matter) had a team in the Final Four of the NCAA Hockey tournament.

It's just not fair. The NCAA should be forced to build ice-skating rinks at sun belt universities across the country and a fair quota of northern hockey players must be sent to these warm weather programs. Beyond that, 2 schools below the Mason-Dixon line need to be given an auto-birth into the NCAA Final Eight. If these southern schools don't win a championship in a fair amount of time, then northern hockey programs must be shut-down until parity is reached.

For that matter why not put a Big 10 Classic on in the metrodome when the Twins are on the road? Minnesota and two top Big 10 teams playing three warm weather teams in three days of triple headers? Depending on the MLB schedule they could probably play two of those in the early season. Pick an early week in the season and rent four warm weather stadiums and send three teams to each site to do a similar format?

But the dome baseball facility isn't a crazy solution. Wouldn't cost much more than a domed practice facility for football and could be used by both sports.

Twins don't play in the Metrodome anymore. They moved into an outdoor, downtown ball park last year. As far as I know, the UofM plays a few games in the Metrodome each year, but I think that might have gotten scrapped this year with the roof issues.

I think Delaney can start complaining when his whole league has a baseball team (Wisconsin, doesn't).

I mean seriously, what kind of league, and even more importantly what kind of school doesn't have a baseball team?

UF doesn't have an equal opportunity compared to Colorado in skiing.
Texas A&M doesn't have an equal opportunity to Minnesota in Hockey.

You don't hear Slive or Beebe crying. Eat it Delany...
