Tech is pissed that Tulane would rather play ULM. Classy Tech fans brought up that Tulane should be obligated to play them because they helped them during Hurricane Katrina. Classy Tech fans begin attacking Marshall and saying that we bring nothing to Conference USA. Classy Tech fans speak of CUSA as if the WAC is a better conference.

I am not a fan of L.A. Tech, but this isn't a popularity contest. If some expansion scenario involving Tech will create a stronger more lucrative Sun Belt, then I can't see the powers that be not voting to extend an invitation.

Marshall has been to 8 bowls in 14 years of FBS football. LA Tech has only been to 2 bowls in the past 14 years.

Marshall played against crippled kids until they moved up to CUSA.

The WAC and the MAC were essentially equivelant. We also beat up on Conference USA every time we got matched in a bowl with them. Even you western guys lost to us. We beat a ranked BYU in 1999 21-3. They were still in a better conference than you at the time.

Besides the fact that Lousiana Tech contributed nothing to the public perception of the WAC. We thought Fresno State and Boise State were really good. Most people don't know what a Louisiana Tech is.

I don't see it being more lucrative but it could make the league more stable.

Its not that we think they are obligated. Its the fact that when they were here for that ordeal. The were rude, mistreated people and did nothing but talked about us why we were housing them. I wish they would play us and we have been nothing but nice to them. No one has ever said the WAC is a better conference than CUSA. If they did they were stupid.

All I want is for La Tech to need a home outside of the WAC and not be able to find one. Then at that point go on to crumble as a football program. It's not much, I know, but for the most arrogant fans on the planet outside of AQ school fans, I really wish them every misfortune in the arena of college football...biggest jerks on the planet.

I don't think they bring an increase in revenue either, but they may bring financial relief in the form of reduced travel expenses, if the Belt becomes 12 teams with 2 divisions.
