Q&A with WKU's AD
Quote:Q: What, if any, facility upgrades are being looked into down the road for the athletic department?
A: The heavy lifting has been done. But we just completed a master plan study for facilities that includes $15 million to $20 million for upgrades. Track and field has no grandstands, no scoreboard, no restrooms, no concessions. It’s a nice track, but that needs to be enhanced. We’re looking at building a six-court tennis complex (which will be located near the WKU Softball Complex). We’re looking at revising Nick Denes Field. ... We’re looking at seating above the dugouts and those things. A new football press box is on the list, with an elevator that goes up to the top as well as air conditioning, heat, windows and those things. And looking at the south plaza as it relates to football with the south lawn … we’re looking at a revised plan where that plaza looks into the street on game days where that plaza serves as an entrance and a place to meet with friends, but continues to be a street Monday through Friday. Those are things to look at over the next three to five years, but we have to raise that money. We can’t bond or finance, we have to get gifts to generate those. Long term, you look at an indoor football complex and a multipurpose building for soccer and other things, and with that, you’re looking at about a 10-year window.

WKU's press box makes UL and ASU's look like the Hilton.
Also, just to I'm clear, the AD is confirming that WKU's elevator does not, in fact, go all the way to the top?

At least the press box is not located on top of an aluminum
erector set.

admit it 'the borracho'.....some western fan threw a meat club episiotomy on your girlfriend (or boyfriend...doesn't really matter) back in the day.
nobody can maintain non-stop wood towards another school like you do with western unless some western guy was being a back door man to your lover.

Beed,
That was my first shot at WKU in a long damn time. I've actually been giving the Toppers a break this year since they were so m.f.-ing mediocre in everything this year.
And I wasn't stating anything new about the old side of wku's stadium. It's crap. You know it. I know it. The whole world knows it. And the press box is embarassing.
The last time I was in it, there was no heat, not enough chairs, and the food was cold, but at least there weren't forks to eat it with.

We have a plan for renovating the press box. What is MTSU gonna
do about the aluminum erector set?

I think the plan is to continue to average about as many people in attendance as WKU's stadium holds.

Good luck with that.
