Attendance is up, with the proper TV marketing it could really take off.

They really need to make baseball season start in mid March and start using wooden bats if they ever want it to rival basketball in popularity. As you stated the potential is there. More and more top talent play college baseball and if not for the one year rule less and less basketball talent play college ball.

Its ridicules that half the country can't even play the sport at home during the early season. I think Uconn's first home game this season was March 22nd. Over a month after the first game of the season.

Really hurt the sustainability of the college baseball in the regions baseball is most popular in.

It's only more popular at the major league level. The bulk of the American talent is from the South, TX, and California. I wonder how popular it would be in the NE without the huge payrolls and winning traditions? Everyone likes a winner.

You're probably right on the start date, but college baseball has exploded in the south. If you get a chance take a virtual tour of South Carolina's baseball stadium.

At ECU we probably have a top 25 facility in the country and facilities arms race continues. I think if we were in a more regional league, our baseball team would generate a profit.

18 of the 33 1st rounders were 4 year college guys this year, I don't have the numbers in front of me but I would imagine that is a lot different than 10 years ago. Good for the game of college baseball.

It's great! While college basketball gets weaker and weaker, college baseball is getting stronger.
