It's looking really nice!

Serious question....is the seating all 'bench seating'?

Denton Record-Chronicle Mean Green Blog

EXCERPT

The big video board is going to be 49 x 25, or that was the unofficial, off-the-top-of-my-head figure I was told. Point being, the board will be big. The secondary one will be about the size of the old one at Fouts.

It is chair back seating at the box and club levels... the rest is bench seating. As the club section expands, so will the chair back seating. A lot like Middle from what i have seen. There are pros and cons to chair back seating. Some people just don't fit into the seats.

Just curious, I have been to most Belt stadiums, isnt that the setup at every stadium? I have seen posts that FAU will have all chairbacks but the virtual seat selection shows a mixture (home side between the 20s is seat back, the rest looks to be aluminum bench. But those programs are not always perfect.

The chairbacks in the club and box levels have the soaring eagle on the seats. First time our AD has used that logo in a visible way. His branding philosophy is to keep the emphasis on the official team name of Mean Green and have Scrappy the Eagle as the mascot. There are tons of 'Eagles' out there but only one Mean Green.

All the seats will be seat back, the Club level (Home side) will be bigger and have arm rests. In the FAU Running shots thread I'm pretty sure there are picture or a link to a video of the student section (The only one to have the seatbacks installed yet) that show them.

RE: More UNT Stadium Phots
Both of these new stadiums are going to be great additions to a conference already with nice venues. Good facilities such as the SBC has should help enhance the recruiting effort for the conference. Hopefully when USA starts conference play in 2012 and is eligible for championship play in '13, South dhould have plans in place for an on-campus facility.
