Let's not leave Louisiana out of the bad news
The Lafayette Police Department arrested former Acadiana High School football player and current UL safety Hunter Thibodaux early Sunday morning in Lafayette for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Thibodaux, 19, was arrested and booked at 2:55 a.m. Sunday into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center after an officer performed a traffic stop in the 300 block of Cajundome Blvd. He was later released on $750 bond Sunday and was still awaiting a court date as of Tuesday morning.

I wasn't being ugly about it. I was just saying there has been a lot of bad news around the belt the last two days. We will be ok with our losses. You don't win 5 championships without being able to overcome some adversity. I think the kid was just trying to escape Lafayette before an out of control booster gets them into deep water.

In either case, he was a walk-on and wasn't signed to a scholarship, nor was he a gun carrying gangsta like the transfer from Auburn.04-rock

I understand, Alabama is rich with rogue boosters.

We have an out of control booster? Funny, I have not seen any reports of anything like that. Got a link to evidence?

No link but I can point you right to him if that's really what you want. Boosters contacting recruits is a cut and dry violation. You want the pot stirred I can most certainly do it.

In that case, every operator of a rivals or scout or espn.com site in the country is an 'out of control booster'. Every one of them is a fan of the school they cover. For the NCAA to ever act against one of them would require that they do something really radical. Merely interviewing potential recruits to create publicly disseminated information in the course of your employment is NOT a violation. That issue has been pretty well addressed.

If you are contracted with Foxsports, Rvials, ESPN, Sporting News, etc; to cover sports and recruiting, there is no NCAA violation as long as you abide by the NCAA's criteria. I've met with Complaince twice this year and they have access to UL's Scout site. So go ahead make you accusations all day long. One probably should know what they are talking about before they make such statements.03-drunk

Then why the veiled threats?

I sense a little insecurity amongst some of the Troy fans with regards to FIU, MT and Louisiana. I am not sure why you guys are so nervous.

Yep we are very insecure. Especially with all the conference titles between those 3 schools. Clearly Cajun T thinks he is guilty of something because he was so quick to defend. I never even said it was anyone on this board.

No need for you guys to be so edgy. Softball season will be here before you know it.

Clearly you invited comments by insinuating that there is some possible wrong doing. You’ve done it several times recently, but I’ve ignored it. As I’ve stated before, if you think there is something improper with the site, then make your accusation. I’ve met with compliance twice this year and our site is in compliance with NCAA rules, so I have no guilty conscience and only answered your thinly veiled attempt to stir the pot.
