Im starting the pit at about 530....got Ribeyes, stuffed mushrooms, creamed spinach....ought to be ready about 630 maybe 7. Anyone tried Mick Ultra with Lime? I am hooked. I will knock a six of those out tonite.

So our starter for tonite, Jordy Nicholson got suspended for 1 game. Ryland Parker will pitch. I think he will do well tonight.

Here's hoping that all the Cajun and Warhawk fans (and other SBC fans) near the Mississippi are dry and safe.

Oh, and Z, made another batch of red beans and rice. Used a sausage a buddy of mine got from a small place in southern Alabama. Dang good sausage and worked very well. I bet some of the Troy and USA fans will know the sausage I used.

Boiled some crawfish directly from Lafayette on Monday. Mmmm, Mmmm, good. Those little critters didn't have a chance.

And not a dead one in the bunch-- not bad for a 9-hour drive and 30 pounds.

Enjoy the weather while you can. Its darned near 90 here. I believe everyone is out of harms way in the basin. I travelled I 10 on my way home today...The water was really starting to rise. If you were smart enough to have insurance, you are golden.. If you dont have it....too bad...Im not here to hold your hand.

I was at a little steak joint in Fernwood Ms last night...Thursday is steak nite...you get a 10 oz ribeye, salad, loaded potato for 10.99...Bud Light lime on tap was 1.75... Thats a deal, buddy.

I dig the Mick ultra with lime, but BL Lime is an okay stand in.

Old man brought some home after the baseball series. The basin boyz may have pointed him in the right direction, though. He came back about 10 pounds heavier (too much rice & gravy and Old Tyme PoBoy action)
