Now if we can only get that on-campus stadium at USA approved and under construction. 04-cheers

I like what South has done to Ladd-Pebbles since starting football. The red/blue theme looks great!

Agreed. Amazing what a fresh coat of paint has done for the place. That, and removing those stupid hedges that used to be on the sidelines. The scoreboards on the other hand . . .

Here's to hoping we have our OCS ready by 2014.

FAU's stadium has to be built under extremely hurricane-strict Palm Beach County building standards. It's not going anywhere. The wind will blow right through it.

Lockhart (newer sections) is steel and, unfortunately, it never fell apart. :)

Yes, our great grandchildren may talk a lot of smack when that happens. 03-lmfao 05-stirthepot

Scuttlebutt is it's on the UA BoT's agenda for the June meeting.

We'll see.

On whether or not I'd get into a pissing contest with other school's fans over materials, I doubt it. I'll be too glad we're finally in one to care. Make the damn thing out of paper machete if it gets us out of Legion Field.

UAB has visited several schools sounding them out about the logistics of their stadiums. One of them was Troy. That wouldn't hurt my feelings. I like y'all's stadium.

Ah the internet. Where people can make statements like "in five years my team will be better than yours" with absolutely no fear of being ridiculed for being wrong five years from now.

UTSA might be better than UNT in five years, but I doubt it. The Roadrunners will more than likely be better than UNT has been over the past five years, but in five years UNT will be much improved as well.

FSU's Doak Campbell Stadium built in 1950 is steel construction with a brick facade. Its been around now 61 yrs.
I was at the FAU Stadium about 10:30 am. I have to say this is a very impressive stadium. It's going to be a great venue for the Sun Belt Conference. Not many stadiums have an ocean view like this stadium from its upper levels. This is really a beautiful structure.
