The cheapest through UT online would be $35 each. The game won't sellout, so you could just get some when you arrive that afternoon.

It's interesting that UT isn't yet selling single game seats for the upper deck east sideline (Fan Plan sections). When will they start selling those? They will be the cheapest single game tickets when made available.

I had not noticed that. That would explain why on Stubhub the cost is higher than anticipated.

I would love to get the fan plan but I am up for a promotion at work which would significantly change my availability. Hopefully I get an answer on that job soon. Do they stop selling fan plan packages at a certain date?

No. That's guaranteed, upfront money for the school and an easy way to pad the all-important season ticket total. They'll probably still be on sale even after the Stony Brook game.

Okay, thanks.

I probably won't end up with a fan plan as in addition to my work schedule, I would have to miss the Stony Brook game to be up north (but I will be at the Central/Ok. State game). Also, friends are usually wanting to tail gate and go watch MSU/UofM games.

A lot of good games at home this year. Iowa St., Arkansas St., NIU, and WMU especially.

I have a lot of friends who attend EMU so even that game would be fun at the Glass Bowl.

I'm coming into town next Friday for the KSU game... Should I buy tickets in advance??? im assuming the game won't sell out so I was gonna walk up and buy at gate, but you guys are having a great year up there so wasn't sure if doing so would be reliable or not. Thanks in advance.

Game won't sell out, although buying online, gives you a better opportunity to pick the seats that you want.

OK good to know. We don't care where we are as long as we are in the stadium. We were gonna check out the Great Lakes museum and Maumee Bay Brewery while in town....Anything else you guys would recommend??? Also, I'm assuming best tailgating is in stadium lot- does that sell out fast or is their ample parking there? Thanks for all the help.

I assume you're talking Lot 10, on the North end of the stadium. That is a donor only lot. The other best tailgating lot is Lot 25(?). It's on the southwest corner, at the corner of Dorr St. & Secor Rd. That is General Admission parking, and that's usually a good tailgating lot.

Quieter tail-gaiting in the Engineering lot at Westwood and Dorr. Not sure why that one isn't more popular. Three-four lots. Away from the students and closer to the stadium. LOTs of room.

I'll check both the lots out. My wife and me are still students at heart so quieter/closer don't mean better for us though lol. Looking forward to seeing your stadium (it'll be D1A #24 for me) and chatting with your fans. Here's also hoping for a competitive & injury-free game. Thanks guys, see ya at the game!!

If you want excitement and a collegiate game experience, the Secor lot is the place. Get there early- people take up two or three spaces and parking gets tough near game time. Take some time to walk around- it's a beautiful urban campus.

If you're a fan of breweries, also check out Black Cloister Brewery. They opened in the spring and have some excellent beers. It's a very neat place and not far from Maumee Bay Brewery.

How early before the game does tailgaiting start? I was thinking about getting to campus a few hours early, but a lot of places are different about how early you can start... I've been to a couple stadiums that only allowed a couple hours before the game and others (just was at NCState) that allowed as much as 5 hours.

Got into town yesterday at 11am did the Great Lakes museum (had a good time very informative exhibits) and lunch at Blarneys Pub. We wanted to check out the Black Coister cos we walked right by it and unfortunately it was closed. We did hit Maumee Bay and it was pheonominal. They have a great Breakfast Stout. We got a growler of the Kölch to Tailgaite with today. Been to numerous breweries across country and it ranked among the best. The Oliver House is the perfect setting for the brew pub- loved it. Also got to mingle with the staff and some patrons there and couldn't have asked for nicer people to talk to.

You should be able to head over and start tailgating any time now.

Lol. We won't hold it against you! As advised we found the Secor lot and it lived up to the billing. I've seen WM, Miami, Akron, Kent & BGSU out of the MAC and I think Glass Bowl has been the best stadium of the bunch. Lots of character, I love the castle/fortress-esque theme- felt like we were watching a game in Winterfell (Game of Thrones reference :)...

Only thing that could've made trip better would've been a Kent win (or at lease a competive game), but can't always get what we wish for haha. Have a great rest of the season. I'll be pulling for you guys in the NIU game- let's bring the MAC title back to Ohio and keep it here.

Nice game last week. Was hoping you would pull it off against the Domers. I'm guessing you all win by at least 2 TDs, if not three. Anyway, I am a CSU fan, and will be coming in for the game on Saturday. I am not a fan of our alumni tailgates and prefer to go to whatever fun college bars there are for game day, and to walk around the home teams tailgates. Have had awesome times in MPLS, Tuscaloosa, Gainesville, and Fayetteville for CSU games the last few years. Going to the Mud Hens Friday night and am looking forward to Saturday.

BTW, do they sell beer inside the stadium?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Welcome! This thread doesn't get a lot of use so might be missed. If the usual helpful don't show up, I'll mention something in one of the active threads.

UToledo Tailgaiting adult is just outside the stadium in Lot10. There is an Alumni Pavillion up the hill, free hot dogs,... you can meet locals while sitting. Students are out in the lots by Secor and Dorr St.

Fun College Bars? eh.... Downtown might be better than what's around campus. It's a fairly residential setting anymore but again, others are better for filling you in on that.
