Play Villanova and a Southland School.

They are in talks with California who has two openings. Here's who needs games

Akron (2 games, 1 game must be home game)
California (2 games)
Colorado (1 game, must be home game due to road game vs. Hawai'i)
Eastern Michigan (1 game)
FIU (1 game)
Houston (2 games)
Memphis (1 game)
North Texas (1 game)
Rutgers (1 game)
UL-Monroe (2 games, 1 must be home game)
Western Michigan (1 game, must be home game)

For WMU, ULM and Akron, they need a home game because there is a home game minimum of five games that they need to hit. Conference schedules in those conferences will take care of four home games.

Air Force & New Mexico also need games, but TCU isn't going to be doing an in-season football home-home.

I think we need three, so from that list I would like to see us pick up games againts Cal, Rutgers and either Houston or UNT. In any other year I wouldn't want UNT on the schedule but this year's schedule is messed up. And they are so close that it makes sense to play occasionally. I understand that Patterson and McCarney (UNT's new coach) are friends and it wouldn't surprise me if we find UNT on the schedule if the dates line up OK.

Rutgers finished off their schedule with North Carolina Central.

Truly gutless of Schiano...they could play a decent CAA team but he plays these horrible 1AAs. NC Central was the 240th rated Sagarin FB team last year. Well below anyone else's 1AA's. He is so afraid of having another CAA team beat him. Smoke and Mirrors.

Gutless says it all. He can't even grow a big enough pair to schedule a real I-AA team. NC Central is essentially still transitioning into I-AA it appears, since they are joining the MEAC but didn't even count as a league game last year. NC Central lost to Georgia State last year, while GSU was in their first year of football ever.
