Scrub had a clutch 3, and clutch 2 in the lane, and 2 clutch free throws in the last 5 minutes to key the comeback.

Yeah the Scrub had a bad shooting night early, but made up for it with heady play, and excellent defense.

Its always nice to be able to score 15PPG when you are clearly off your game a bit

RE: MBB- ASU beats Lamar
what is lamar's record and who have they played???

it'll give me a baseline if scrub was going off on chumps or rising up against the stout comp.

Context:

ULL's only OOC win against a D-1 team (shortly after their loss to Texas College) came against Lamar.

and Lamar then turned around and beat Texas College by 65 points. Id say they are about mid level southland. They can outshoot the bottom half of the league, 3rd best offense in the country, and 5th best rebounding team. However they dont even bother trying to play defense. #320 so who knows

We just like to throw up Finn's numbers because Beed's quote became so popular its become his nickname.

I love dahbeed, but I'm also loving how much the ASU fans have embraced the comment and turned it into an ironic nickname.

I hope Finn continues to play well enough that it can stick without being an insult.

I think some are just pulling your chain.

Finn does so many little things well that ASU fans probably assumed that the basketball fans at THE basketball school would be the first to recognize just how good he is.

Finn was a three star recruit but I he was very under rated.

. He simply is a blue collar type that will get in there and do the dirty work.

RE: MBB- ASU beats Lamar
every team has a guy that their fans love because he does a bunch of the work that doesn't show up in the box score.

most of you folks would have never heard of ty rogers if he hadn't hit 'the shot'. but he pretty much had 'scrub' numbers when he was here.

of course he had c-lee (pbuh) and tyrone brazleton in front of him.

how would any fan other than an asu fan know he does the little things that make him mayor of jonesboro-worthy?

when you see a guy averaging 7ppg and he goes off for 30 looking like vinnie.....he's a scrub in my book. a scrub that doubled his career high and added another deuce to it.

so ya'll keep me updated on scrub. just give me context if you're playing unt or ulm. big difference.

p.s. very doubtful on the 3* rating. or he wouldn't have ended up there.

doubtful, its used too often now on the Den for that. Its become an ironic nickname, that will be pulled up every time he has a good game.

I think you rate your players differently then we do. Best on ball defender who for a time led the team in rebounding last year while averaging nearly double figures points. thats pretty darn good for us.
