ASU beats MTSU 69-65
ASU plays its best half of the year takes a 13 point halftime lead. Then proceeds to make 5 field goals all 2nd half, thankfully making 17 free throws in the 2nd half to hold on. UNT never tied or led in the 2nd half, but had it to 1 with 2 minutes left.

dahbeed's favorite player Trey Finn scored 13 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and provided the game clinching free throw and blocked shot.

Martavious Adams was benched early in the 2nd half for failure to follow the coaches instructions on the floor. he scored 3 points in 13 minutes

RE: ASU beats MTSU 69-65
"Scrub" Finn had 9 pts, 6 rebounds, 5 Assists, & 4 Steals versus FAU.

"Scrub" is a heck of a rebounder for 2 guard. He was sixth in the Sun Belt in defensive rebounding as a freshman last year, and top 10 overall with 6.5 per game.

Here is a link to his ESPN stats page so you can keep up with his progress:
http://espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=41930

Per this excerpt from the Jonesboro Sun, coach Davis was impressed:

Finn finished with 13 points and 11 boards, his second double-double of the season.
Middle Tennessee coach Kermit Davis was pleased how the Blue Raiders got back in the game. But he said Finn made the plays that decided the outcome.
“That’s what he does,” Davis said of Finn. “We tried like heck to get Trey Finn to come to Middle Tennessee. We loved him out of high school; we loved all the intangible stuff, so it doesn’t surprise me at all.”

either your eyes or my eyes are playing tricks.

i see scrub having 4 points against fiu and 5 points against fau.

maybe you added those 2 games together to get the 9 points. i don't know.

he played the two florida teams like a scrub. 4 and 5. he played well against 2 very bad teams in wku and mtsu.

that is what scrubs do. they play well against bad.

i know the guy is the freakin' mayor of jonesboro the way you guys act.

his numbers denote scrub to me. i know nothing about him personally. he's probably a fine young man and has a close relationship with jesus or mohammed....whoever you want him to have one with. but he went off for 30 against us. it was an aberration.

when i said scrub you guys acted like i used the n word.

calm down.

I mistakenly listed his stats versus the Cajuns as FAU stats. My bad.

It was an aberration for him to score 30, but he clearly is not a scrub in this league.

They act that way because you're being a dick. Pretty obvious. You had a bad case of sour grapes after a loss and now you are obssessing.

sorry hump....but i pretty much am a dick....all the time amigo.

i am not the one obsessing. it's the coños from arkansas state that are running the 'scrub for mayor' in jonesboro campaign.

my name was brought into this thread. i responded.

let's keep up with scrub and see if he's playing in the league with c-lee (pbuh) and jeremy evans in a few years. he's headed there for sure the way you guys keep blowing him up.

So every Sun Belt player who doesn't play NBA is a scrub?

Enjoy college basketball much?

not really....i'm not the one blowing him up to nba levels....you guys are.

he had one 'non-scrub performance' dropping 30 on us. you guys acted like he was the second coming of c-lee (pbuh) or forest whitaker.

i made the mistake of calling him a scrub and you woulda thunk birds were gonna drop out of the sky or fish were gonna go belly up in arkansas.

i have probably enjoyed more college basketball than most folks just because i've been following it a long time. (that's code for i'm old)

i know a scrub when i see scrub stats.

yo 'boro....wanna chime in here and get my back on this one???

You know he's not saying he was incorrect in calling him a scrub, just that it was a mistake to say it, based on the uproar, right?

Well that closes the book on it for me because if anyone should know what scrubs look like you guys should.

I think the WKU fans are just having a hard time adjusting to the fact that they are becoming a football school. I'll pass on what my HS football coach said " if the ball you are playing with is round, the game you are playing ain't important".

If someone would say his name, rather than "the scrub", then I might be able to look up the numbers instead of just reading what few stats are posted here. Since he doesn't have a name, I assume that "scrub" fits.

nvmd, I found his name: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/pro...erId=41930

8.9 ppg
1.9 apg

Seems like he'd fit in well with the scrubs on MT's team, everyone but Washington. That's pretty scrubbish.

Finn is living proof that numbers can be misleading.

Was a pretty well recruited 3 star player out of HS but not sure ASU would swap him for any other player in the league and he is only a sophmore.

Normally when ASU wins the other coaches point their fingers at Finn as the reason why. Probably the only number that indicates how good is are the number of rebounds he gets for a guard but the guy simply can beat you and is far and away ASU's best player. IMO he is the only player ASU could not afford to lose.
