LAPD kills former Raider DB Doucet

Police Cmdr. Andrew Smith told the Los Angeles Times that reports of a naked man yelling incoherently sent officers to the scene around 3:30 a.m. Smith says two officers calmed down Doucet, 25, and talked him into putting on his boxer shorts, but he ran off when they tried to detain him. A scuffle ensued and Smith says one officer shot Doucet twice. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Sounds like he might have been on some sort of drug(s). Hopefully the police did what they had to do but it's sad he had to die over something so senseless. I was wondering why they couldn't have just tased him but it's hard to know, without having all the information.

Yeah, being naked and annoying is not a crime worthy of death.

Hopefully there is more to the story.

Me too.....or at least maced him. He must have reached for a gun or something. Sad.
