It would make sense since with the Big East's lineup you're going to play to fuller houses (if not full) plenty often during the conference schedule.

The DMC needs a lot of work.

Not as much as 60-year old McDonough Gymnasium, but then again, TCU has money and Georgetown doesn't.

I've been inside the place...personally I would only improve it if you can get in 9k quality seats.

I hope that TCU doesn't put any money into redoing it. We just need to start from scratch on the basketball arena. Frankly, until TCU's basketball teams show they can at least go to the NIT consistently, I see no need to change anything with the building.

TCU is another school like Rutgers and USF that are football first and it will the football success that will eventually trickle money to basketball. They will improve but will not be a consistent top half finisher in Big East basketball.

In the meantime TCU can cash the checks that it gets from Big East basketball TV and tournament $$$ to help build up money to build better basketball facilities. It should add some more money for sure, plus getting a bit more hype from the media will help get more people in the stands when top teams like Syracuse, Pittsburgh, UConn and Villanova come to town.

If you're going to wait until TCU's basketball program is decent before any money is invested in the program, you'll be waiting forever - especially in The BEast...

Yes agreed

TCU needs to do an assessment

Renovate or new

If you do new you need to still spend some $$$ to to put lipstick on the pig to get through a couple seasons

THE Big East is the Big Boy Leagues...if you do little or nothing and ride your football coattails you lose any recruiting momentum from joining the BE. You'll be stuck at suck. This league eats their young...ask a weakened Cincy.

Just ask Providence. They went 11-2 OOC. But the Friars are now 0-5 in conference, after getting stomped in Morgantown...

No doubt the now almost 50 year old 7,200 seat TCU Daniel Meyer Coliseum could use a lot of major upgrades, but its good that TCU is moving up the time-table of already planned improvements.

Wouldn't be surprised if TCU ends up replacing this arena in another 10 years or so.

TCU's arena has a 70s feel to it...reminded me of Manley Field House. I suggest TCU visit the YUM or a packed Dome

LOL that would be a shock.

Why is it that I feel like I'm always hearing that G'town has no money and no support and no space for sports?

If that is true it's not support they need they need financial advisors.
