Some reports have MTSU OC Mike Schultz accepting the OC position at Texas State.

RE: MTSU OC to TX State?
That's what I've heard as well. I think this is a happy parting of an unhappy marriage. I don't things were beyond repair, I don't think Stock was definitely going to give him his walking papers and had Schutlz wanted to come back, I think he would have improved in year two for us, but this seems like a good solution for both parties. Schultz gets to go back to Texas, work with Fran again and not have to try and conform to a totally different system that was already in place while Stock gets to try and find someone who is a better fit and closer to the offense we were running under Franklin.

San Marcos newspaper sez DARRELL DICKEY will be OC........but who knows ?

Franchione is expected to invite two former colleagues (Blinn College offensive line coach Dennis Darnell and Montana linebackers coach Mike Hudson) as well as a former head coach (New Mexico offensive coordinator and running backs coach Darrell Dickey) to join his coaching staff

Yeah you're probably right, but that was a big selling point for some folks last year.

Most TCU fans' opinion of Schultz isn't favorable. He wasn't here long enough for us to form a definitive opinion... ie. Was it personnel or Schultz's ineptitude?
