Transfer Question
Hey guys, just had a quick question.

Say you're a football player, if you transferred to another D1 school, would you lose a year of eligibility if you didn't still have your redshirt to use in conjunction with that transfer? My understanding is that transfer years do not count against eligibility.

RE: Transfer Question
They count. If you haven't redshirted, that is your reshirt year. If you have redshirted, you lose that year.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. I tried looking on Google before, but that only produced a convoluted mess.

RE: Transfer Question
5 years to play 4. Pretty much what MLB said. Unless for some odd reason you get a 6 year or go play major league baseball and then apparently you can come back at like 30 and play.
