Now, there's a name I hadn't heard in a long while. Good grief, what a scumbag he was (is?). And yeah, he and Edsall just might be long-lost cousins.

Well, we do lose a lot as abcorbett pointed out in a different thread. However, we also have the 27th ranked (Scout) recruiting class slated to be coming in for this season. Given how much the current team improved under Strong, I'm looking forward to what he'll do with a major talent boost and another year coaching the defense (most of whom will return).

I recall pitching two shut out games. Can't seem to recall who the other game was besides Memphis though....

If you guys are planning on using that 27th rated class this year, you guys are in trouble in 2011.

Strong is a tremendous coach and is bringing your program back, but UConn needs to win that game at home next year.

I think I'll wait to see who is coaching UConn, who leaves early, and who is brought in before saying who should or shouldn't be winning games 10 months from now.

I agree with that completely, which I why I responded to Wilkie.

A Strong-Fulmer matchup would be epic.

Uh, OK. We return plenty of starters and hopefully will be able to move the ball this year...

We played OU hard after the first QTR (they managed 34 offensive points against us in all) and held you guys to 17. We can defend that type of attack.

Actually UC played Oklahoma tougher and Cincinnati will be much better, so will the entire conference, but this was our down year.

As far as Edsall is concerned just another backstabbing prick. As Mouse said it's a big @ss line full of people rubbing their sore backsides.

Our defense played fine. We will down 2 TDs in the 4th Qtr against OU with arguably one of the top offenses in the country. OU in all indications will be preseason #1 next year. The problem was our offense which could not score due to multiple WR drops. UCONN will bring back a ton of players next year. UCONN just needs to hire a good coach. I believe can UCONN can reach much higher than Edsall took us going forward.

The OU team we played was far better than the one you faced...they improved as the year went along.

I understand Cincy will be better and returns virtually everyone. But you guys should have been tougher this year. I'm not sold on Butch Jones yet.

UCONN's #1 recruit decided to honor the commitment to the Huskies. That's great news. This guy is our future QB. He will be a huge improvement over Frazer.
