WVU coaching changes
New WVU OC/HC-in-waiting Dana Holgorsen has made these hires according to reports...

QBC/OC-in-waiting - Stephen F. Austin OC Shannon Dawson
OLC - Arizona Co-OC Bill Bedenbaugh
RBC - Oklahoma State RBC Robert Gillespie (Hoppy thinks he still works for the Gamecocks 03-lmfao)

And when you add in the only assistant from the offensive side being retained, WR Coach Lonnie Galloway, that fills it in for the offensive coaches in Holgorsen's offense...

RE: WVU coaching changes
Only WRC Lonnie Galloway is staying on offensively. The defensive staff is untouched, and Casteel has full control...

RE: WVU coaching changes
I'd say it's pretty much official now. Multiple sources are confirming the early reports... 04-cheers

Multiple sources confirm to MetroNews that new Mountaineer offensive coordinator and head coach-in-waiting Dana Holgorsen has hired two more assistant coaches: Bill Bedenbaugh (Bee-dun-baugh) and Robert Gillespie.

Bedenbaugh was the offensive coordinator at Arizona. He played college football with Holgorsen at Iowa Wesleyan and the two coached together at Texas Tech. Bedenbaugh was the co-offensive coordinator for the Wildcats. He and Holgorsen coached against each other in the Alamo Bowl.

Bedenbaugh spent the last four seasons in Arizona and coached under head coach Mike Stoops. His position hasn't officially been announced, but he will most likely become the offensive line coach at WVU replacing Dave Johnson.

Robert Gillespie has served as the running backs coach at Oklahoma State for the past two seasons and will likely take that same position with the Mountaineers replacing Chris Beatty. There was some speculation that Gillespie would take over as the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys after Holgorsen left, but instead he's coming to WVU.

Gillespie also spent three seasons as the running backs coach at South Carolina. Gillespie spent this past season coaching with the Mountaineers' head coach-in-waiting. At OSU, he was the position coach for All-American running back Kendall Hunter this past season.

Holgorsen now has three coaches on his staff, including Shannon Dawson from Stephen F. Austin.

Wow, makes you wonder who the real "head coach" is. I hope the WVU administration was kind enough to let the putative "Head Coach" know who his new subordinates are.

RE: WVU coaching changes
I agree, crazed. There's 3 men with experience as offensive coordinators, and a RB Coach from Florida who's a great recruiter. It doesn't get any better than that....
