Honestly, Toledo is beating themselves right now with penalties and that one costly fumble. Otherwide the score could be much worse.

FIU's offensive linemen are backing up 5-10 yards before they even start engaging the Toledo D-linemen...by that time they're in Carroll's face. It's like they're not even challenging them until they have to.

But Toledo isn't exactly attacking on offense either.

Just got home and tuned into the game. First thing I see is ACC Ref Ron Cherry.

As a fan of an ACC school I'd like to take this opportunity to go ahead and apologize that you got Ron Cherry's crew. They evidently get paid by the amount of face time that Ron gets on TV...so expect every little ticky tack infraction to get called.

Again, Florida International has no answer for Adonis Thomas! NONE! Florida International is getting beaten at the line on the offense and defense. Offense can't protect the quarterback. Defense can't stop Owens and Thomas.

FIU is not playing for the win in this game.

10:45 to go in the 2nd quarter and it's 14-0 in favor of Toledo. Remember, Toledo gets the ball to begin the second half. FIU has to do something with it on this drive. If Toledo scores again to go up 21-0, FIU might consider packing it in even though it's early. The way this game is going, FIU has nothing for Toledo.
