RE: There ain't no way any team from that conference can stay with this bunch for 60 mins
My post was a direct response to Cubanbull's assertion. Yeah, you guys blew us out that game. For whatever reason, USM has always had trouble with the Bearcats, 7-8 record overall.
I'd personally like to see USM play more be schools. There's a history with half the schools.

If Southen Miss had won that game we wouldn't have heard the end of it. Bottomline, why post on our board complaining about our threads and ripping our teams? I just read that game thread for the first time and no one from the Big East posted in it. You reap what you sow.

I think you meant CYBERBULL, as for our "gift" while I acknowledge that we did not have the history or success to be invited into Big East, some of the CUSA fans fail to recognize that USF had anything other to offer other than location and also fail to recognize that USF's athletic department made good moves that allow our school to be in position for that invite.

Exactly. The amazing thing is a lot of these schools were given "gift" sports in C-USA. Outside of C-USA who was going to take Southern Miss? Yet they thumb their nose down at USF. Then they claim that Cincinnati was given a "gift" spot in the Big East because of basketball yet if it wasn't for schools like Cincinnati and South Florida and others C-USA wouldn't even exist right now and the majority of schools in that conference wouldn't even have a home or the platform that C-USA affords them.

Well, I think Central Florida, East Carolina, Southern Miss, Houston and Memphis would all improve their football and basketball significant, if given BCS access through all-sports admission in the Big East.

i question any that say that southern miss "should" have won. if they "should" have won, they should have scored more points in the second half. after louisville spotted them a 14-0 lead, they only scored 14 more points, 7 in the second half.
take away that horrific first 5 minutes for louisville, and the final score is 31-14. teams that "should" have won should have been able to continue to exploit that defense for quick scores all night long.
shoulda, coulda, woulda. all of those words don't have the definition of DID. stop making excuses. the better team won. southern miss had the option of tackling the kid who ran back that return and chose not to. they also had the option of scoring more than 7 points in the second half and chose not to do that as well.
@CatsClaw
the sun belt probably would have taken southern miss if they leave c-usa.
