Call James Rockford....

and let him know that Angel "borrowed" his car again while working on a buinsess deal in San Diego to make them both millionaires. Only problem was Angel had another one of his small problems and "lost" the car while in San Diego.
"Jimmy, it wasn't my fault"

RE: Call James Rockford....
That was a great show. One of the very best not just of the 1970s but of any decade as far as network-TV is concerned.
It's interesting to compare the image Southern California had back then with the image it has today, too. If Rockford Files were being put on the fall schedule for 2011, the LA/Santa Monica backgrounds would be so much different.

I thought they did a remake of the Rockford Files in the past few years.

Could be, Torch.
I'm not really into current TV, except for The Middle, Modern Family, and Cougar Town.

Can you imagine if they restarted that politically correct show "All In The Family?"

It would be the only TV program that my friends and I would consider a "must see" every week.
Classics are never out of favor and style. Think "I Love Lucy", "Red Skelton Show", "Smothers Brothers", "I Dream of Jeanie", "Mod Squad" and "Flipper"....

I know Hawaii Five-O has been recreated.
The Rockford Files remains one of the best shows ever on TV, IMHO. Wiseguy was another Stephen J. Cannell show that i used to like, but I don't think it stands the test of time like Rockford does. I think Cannell a recurring guest star on Castle.
