RE: Congratulations Louisville.
Thanks cuseroc. Great win for the Cardinals. We didn't have a ton of talent this season, but Strong pushed the team to their max and made a 4 win team in 2009 a 7 win team with a bowl victory. It was the ugliest first five minutes I've ever seen for UofL, but the defense stepped up and won the last 55 minutes 31-14 to get the close victory.

The final quarter played out just as the entire season did. The Cardinals only gave up 38 total points in the 4th quarter all season. That's 2.9 points a game in the 4th. Tonight USM didn't have a 1st down over the final 14 minutes of the game.

I guess Big East #6 CAN hang with us for 60 minutes, ha ha! 03-lmfao

You cannot argue with history. Congratulations to the Louisville Cardinals! USM gave the Cards a fright, I better hope they did. The way they played all game, matching scores and keeping pace with the Louisville offense was impressive. Bad calls in the second half on both sides, mainly USM's, really impacted the morale of USM going into Louisville's last possession. Alas, people will calm down. I'm dissappointed that this game will, unfortunately, receive scrutiny due to the review booth missing calls that should have been simple.

C-USA is 0-2, Big East is 1-0 so far. Don't get comfortable, I hope to God Connecticut puts up over 31 against Oklahoma! GO UCONN, CRUSH THE BOOMER SOONERS!

Yes, Congrats. I was worried there for a while, but the Cards pulled it out.

Cheers,

Nice recovery after crapping in your pants the First Quarter. CUSA continues its losing streak to the Big East.

RE: Congratulations Louisville.
It was nice to see the Cards come back after spotting USM a 14-0 lead. A lot of teams make that mistake, and aren't able to recover and win...

After the 1st quarter, UofL outscored Southern Miss 31-14... 04-cheers

Good job Louisville, I needed that win for my bowl pickem. Went down early and fought back, Charlie Strong is going to get UL back to where they are used to competing IMO.

Eh, thanks? Don't be too disappointed. Upon further review the refs got more calls than you think right.

RE: Congratulations Louisville.
that first touchdown was a seriously blown offensive pass interference. You probably could not see it on TV because I don't think they had an iso camera on it, but the receiver pushed johnny Patrick right out of the way, like utterly blatantly and no call was made. But it was a fun trip. Can;t wait to go to another one next year.
