Berkley On Verge Of Declaring Traitor Wikileaks Soldier A Hero, Awarding Medal
This city doesn't belong in this country.

Quote:BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — Some consider a soldier’s alleged release of classified information to WikiLeaks an act of treason.

The City Council in Berkeley is deciding whether to proclaim him a hero deserving of a medal.

The council in this famously liberal city is considering a resolution Tuesday night bestowing hero status on Pfc. Bradley Manning, the soldier at the center of the Wikileaks fury. Manning has become a hero to some groups on the anti-war left who believe the soldier performed a valuable public service.

This guy is a complete douchebag and should be tried for treason, however, if(and I emphasize the word IF) the reports of "enhanced interrogation techniques" being used on him, a US Citizen, then the Consititution and Bill of Rights means nothing.....absolutely nothing.

This guy was a sworn U.S. soldier with a Top Secret security clearance. He signed into the military justice system a long time ago. The same rules do not apply to him.

The DoD won't execute Manning. They will keep him in solitary confinement until he "leaks" everyone else that is involved in the disclosure of classified data. Sooner or later (I bet sooner) he will go "nuts" and spill the beans.

Besides his situation makes a great example of what would happen to anyone else stupid enough to try this same stunt.

Notice I said IF, and yes I realize he is in the military and the rules are different, and if he is found guilty of treason he should be put to death.

He could be found guilty of espionage, which you couldn't execute him for. He will sit in "Hell On Earth" in solitary at Ft. Levenworth, and he will most likely try to kill himself sooner or later.
