RE: Where Should the Sun Belt Championship game be played?
Believe me you do NOT want Birmingham. Legion Field isn't exactly in a very nice neighborhood, there is a reason all of UAB's games are played during the daylight hours.
Nashville would be a good place as would Mobile.
New Orleans, while I like the idea, wouldn't look good on TV because I don't think both fan bases of any two Sun Belt teams could come close to packing out the lower half of the Superdome.
Montgomery might get behind the championship game, but people would complain that it's too close to Troy and thus turn into a Troy home game and if that's the case keep it at the field of the team with the better record. Also Cramton Bowl in Montgomery is good for the Alabama State/ Tuskegee game, but may be too small for our Championship Game.

Bring it to Frisco.
Pizza Hut Park would make a great location.

How about Ruston. Got some hopping night life.
No you wouldn't want Ruston because Tech will always be a participant in the championship game and you guys will all be whining about home field advantage.

How is that? From the impression that I got, you guys would just as soon drop down before coming back to the SBC...

Don't think a few overly vocal fans make up the majority of Tech fans.
There is no telling what will happen at this point, especially with the new pres at ULM.
There is still talk about consolidation of schools in Louisiana.
Who knows what will happen with the MWC. Do they add another school? USU? UTEP? Does the BE add another school? UCF? ECU? Nova?

well if you consider the belt FCS, then I guess we are. I gave you guys a little more credit than that but if you say so.

Well dawg, all things considered, by staying in the WAC, you're already FCS...SBC would be a step above where you are now
