I was at that game, and I'm not sure that the Hogs could beat UALR at Stephens arena, unless they brought their own officials. Very poor shooting team. When Rotnei Clarke is off, they have real problems.
I think we have better shooters on our team then they do. They are taller and probably a little more athletic. Delvin Johnson played a very good game, but overall, I wasn't very impressed with their talent level for an SEC team. If this season is going to determine Pelphrey's fate, then he's gone.03-melodramatic

Then that means Shields is gone. Arkansas is sure to come after him. They like to hire Sun Belt coaches. That "eternity" contract won't mean a thing if you get a chance to go to the "show."

I'm sure Scotto will enjoy watching mjs and Mr. Mediocrity calling the hogs. But, that'll mean two more empty seats in the Jack.

I suspect I'll have to teach them how. But I'm confident they'll get the hang of it. WPS..!

No doubt, they're both very bright. They probably already know the words, so you'll just have to get their timing down.

All indications are that Pel is not going anywhere. He signed a Top 5 recruiting class, remember? Actually, that's a pretty stupid reason to retain a coach, especially up there. The 3 Arkansas kids always wanted to play there and it really doesn't matter who the coach is. The other 2 signees aren't going anywhere, unless they release them, which they are under no obligation to do. Still, the belief seems to be that Long is solidly behind Pel. As bad as the SEC West is, he will win some games. I just saw Alabama lost to a 0-3 St. Peters team and Auburn has already lost to Samford and Campbell. The class of the West, Mississippi State, needed OT to beat a bad Troy team. They have a number no name money games that they should win. They should also beat an Oklahoma team at home Wednesday, who is picked at the bottom of the Big 12. What the heck happened at Oklahoma? Anyway, I can't imagine they won't finish .500 and go to the NIT. That will hold off the wolves for another year.

I don't know. I saw the UAB game the other night, and I don't think they can finish .500 in the West if they play like they did. I just don't see a lot of SEC talent there. But maybe that was an off night. And Marshahn Powell is ailing, and I don't think his foot will be healed if he keeps playing, and if he doesn't play, they lose potentially their best player. Pelphrey is in trouble. Big time. I don't care of Jeff Long or President Obama is behind him. If he doesn't get it done this season, he's got to be toast. Too many empty seats at Bud Walton. That alone is reason enough to tell him goodbye. Hogs don't give lifetime contracts.04-cheers

Amen Brother. Most Hog fans care more about the program than any coach UAF can bring in. Give us wins and NCAA appearances. That's what counts. And if Coach Pel, or Fel, or whatever, can't get it done, get someone that can.

I wish our fans felt that way about our basketball program. Our fans are more interested in graduation programs than our basketball program. I don't know if you've been to one at the Jack, but I'll bet they hold one hell of a graduation there.

Obviously the one that I was most pleased about was the thumping that the Richmond Spiders laid on #8 Ranked Purdue at the Chicago Invitational.

Not this year. Who knows if there will even be a Big Six next year. Might be a Big Seven. Or a Big Five. We'll have to see how things work out.

Well TCU is engaged to the Big East, even if the marriage won't take place until 2012! Ya gotta love it.04-cheers
