IMO, would have been a great western league with good football, basketball and baseball.

Can't blame the teams for leaving but it still seems that if they had all hung around a little longer they would have all gotten what they wanted and still be in a regional league with their traditional rivals.

In any case, if the Frogs do get their BE invite, good luck to em!

It's a shame the original eastern independents couldn't form a conference 40 years ago. But the world will be as it will, not as you or I would will it to be...

Yeah Boise State looks to be the big loser in all of this. Im sure theyll be content to dominate a depleted MWC and get to the BCS every year though.

Basically, Boise is right back where they started...

If they were satisfied with that they would have stayed in the WAC. Boise would be the biggest loser in this and they know it because even if they got to the BCS every year they would still make significantly less then other schools. The entire point of going to the MWC was because they knew they couldn't rely on going to the BCS every year, they need strong TV deals, better bowl packages, schools that can carry their own weight, etc.

Maybe the big 12 will add them. They deserve it.

Big 12 adds BYU and Boise.

Big East takes TCU.

Pac 10 took Utah.

All of the deserving teams are now in BCS conferences.
