The crowd looked good for FAU (especially the tailgating). FIU looked like it would run away with the game early and FAU's offense did nothing in the first half. But the Owls' D kept them in the game, and three late turnovers killed FIU.

BTW, the Shula Bowl was at Lockhart Stadium, for the first and last time.

No, I was not at the game. I was outside the stadium before the game.

Ah, well I'm glad to see Troy fans supporting other Belt schools in some capacity at least.

I had an assignment and could not stay for the entire game, so I didn't go in. There was a screw-up with my credentials. Long story.

I haven't been to one college game all season. Usually, by this time, I've been to 10 or more. One year, I made the Troy-Oklahoma State game at Troy, drove to ATL and hopped an early flight to West Palm Beach and was at Dolphins Stadium by 1 for the FAU-Minnesota game. Another year, I made the Silicon Valley bowl in San Jose and was in Atlanta by the next afternoon to see Florida and Miami in the Peach Bowl.

But I had a real job then. :(
