I have to agree.

well i will hold my judgement until Fresno this week but from what I have seen. La Tech is playing the second best football in the state but like I said. It may be a fluke. Fresno will tell. But no way is ULM playing better football than Tech right now.

Tech couldn't and wouldn't beat Troy.

uuh Tech just rolled up almost 400 yards on Boise State. Yes Tech would beat Troy right now. Maybe not at the beginning of the year. I didnt think they could beat anybody then, but now, yes they would beat Troy and probably easier than you think. Troy barely beat ULL. They are not playing lights out football right now.

I'll have to disagree with you on this one. As I've said before, when TF was at MT, Rowell had his number, from working with him the prior two seasons. Plus, tech doesn't have the personnel to run the Spread effectively, like TROY and MT, just yet. They got up for the game against BSU, but didn't execute the gameplan as well as TROY has, previously. When our offense clicks, it's lightyears ahead of what tech puts on the field...period. 04-cheers

Tech lost by 30 points to Boise. It that 'keeping it close' in Rustin ?

Tech would finish behind ULM in the Belt, Book It. 02-13-banana

If you really want to look at this from a football point of view. Take homerism out of it, there is no way Troy fans or SBC fans can realistically think Troy would beat Tech right now. In the beginning of the year I would have said Troy by 14. Now I say Tech by 14. I like Troy but something is not clicking with them right now. Creer for Tech would run up close to 200 yards against Troys defense. He is a beast. And no we weren't just up for Boise. We have put up those kind of numbers since we finally got our qb situation settled. Ross Jenkins should have never been pulled. He has that offense running like clockwork.

Oh, he!! naw! I was impressed with what Creer did against Boise, but he ain't no Kendall Hunter...he put up 157 on TROY. If you really could take homerism out of it, I'd go with the higher rated offense, and it ain't tech...03-nerner

Did you watch the game against Boise. We were inside their 10 yard line 4 times in the second half but went for it on 4th down instead of putting points on the board. Creer was a beast against them. And Boise is the number one defense in the country. We rolled up 400 yards against the number 1 defense in the country. And believe me Boise needed major style points and they were not getting them. Judging by the mediocre way Troy is playing right now, and the explosive way Tech is playing, there is no doubt in my mind that we beat either of those teams. And I am not insulting Troy either. They generally are a very good team, but they haven't clicked in the last two games against some pretty average to less than average teams. This is not one of Troys better teams. The whole SBC is really rather bad this year. Don't kill the messenger. It looks like more of a fight for last place than a fight to win it. I mean what happened to FIU this weekend. How could they lose to FAU. I thought this would be their year to win the SBC and they lose badly. You actually have UNT fans still talking about winning the conference.

Yes, I watched the game because I support TF. He's an ingenious OC, but he overthinks things sometimes. And he doesn't go under center in the redzone. Like I've stated previously, Creer was impressive, but BSU wasn't at their best either. Putting up 400 yds doesn't amount to a hill-of-beans if you're losing...we're way past moral victories around here. So, here's some cheese and crackers to go with that whine...04-cheers Also, you have to take each game on their individual merits...we stomped MT and we got stomped by ULM. If you measure those teams against the games against MT, TROY should've dog-dragged ULM, but one has nothing to do with the other. I'll leave the last word to you, but I still say y'all would get more than you'd bargain for playing any SBC team...I'm out 04-bolt

My goodness, why can't ULM have an opportunity to celebrate a GREAT victory over a quality opponent in Troy without it becoming "yeah but Tech couldn't..."

Tech vs Troy is completely irrelevant. I don't know much about Troy as we've never played them, but I think they're pretty good. ULM was better. End of discussion.

That said, I extend hardy congrats to the Warhawks. You guys earned some respect on Saturday.

ULM certainly played a better game, no question about it. However, I would still say Troy is the better team/program. I don't want that to sound like I'm taking anything from the Warhawks and their outstanding QB Colton Browing (love the name), they looked much better than I think anyone thought they would look this year.

The difference, and why Troy is the better team/program; is consistency, talent, and coaching. We've been there before and we know how to handle ourselves on the big stages. We have the best overall talent in the Conference (and better than several mid-majors), and we have some of the finest coaches in all of mid-major football.

Now that obviously doesn't mean we will win 'em all...but even in a down/rebuilding year we mopped the floor with our rival on national television and are on track to go to yet another bowl game. Hopefully we can avoid a double-overtime 3 point loss this year.

You keep beating us and you won't be far behind. The trick will be beating us at home. No one come inside the Walls and walks out with a win. We burn the opponent's trojan horse outside the gates. 05-mafia

I'll say this though, I have a lot of respect for ULM. You guys always seem to have our number at Malone.

my apologies, Kolton Browning. Don't worry, that's a name I think many Belt fans will be remembering for some time.
