Don't worry all you Christian haters, it's not like that...

Quote:In a move that officials believe is the first of its kind in Massachusetts, Cambridge will close its schools for one Muslim holiday each year beginning in the next school year.

So liberals have eliminated Christmas in favor of Winter FESTIVAL aka Happy Holidays, Easter is now Springbreak, but in a LIBERAL world observance of a Islamic holiday is acceptable and the right thing to do.

Where's the ACLU? My gues is that if some one placed a nativity scene at a school on the day of the Muslim holiday they'd be out there suing those pesky Christians.

What are they calling the day off, it matters. Look they can call winter break whatever they want but if the kid gets the week around Christmas off we all know what it is (same with spring break).

RE: Cambridge MA school to celebrate religous holiday
I'd love to send my kid to school that celebrates the acutal holiday, instead of ambiguous "Winter Festivals" and "Spring Break."

My school growing up celebrated all local holidays plus American holidays. We had a big Israeli population, so we celebrated Passover. We had Good Friday off. Yes, we celebrated Eid. Plus some Buddhist and Hindu holidays as well.

I survived.
