Its not the same crime, at least not in the eyes of the court.

- The illegal alien pleaded guilty to DWI and involuntary manslaughter.

- The former NASCAR crew chief pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder, and the fatal wreck happened as he was fleeing from a sheriff's deputy. It was also his 3rd drunk driving arrest, and his blood alcohol level was fives times over the legal limit.

The illegal alien got his sentence as part of a plea agreement. Blame the D.A.

This brings up another question. Would we be better off if our district attorneys were appointed, instead of elected, and who would we trust to appoint them?

Elected, they have to be accountable to the people.

This is just wrong on so many levels. There are 2 people dead from drunk drivers, how the court justifies any differences means nothing to me.

I had a fatal car accident and wasn't charged with anything. I was 19, completely sober, and a drunk illegal ran across a 5 lane(4 lanes, one turn lane) road, and I clipped him.

My point is that drunk is just all around stupid.

Good riddance. You possibly prevented the deaths of a family.

his family should be pissed at him not you.
