This is why I love the South's Oldest Newspaper
Quote:Despite being elected on a platform of hope and change, Mr. Obama has given us a worsened economic climate, and provided only occasional bogeymen to explain it away.

Even fervent supporters aren't buying it anymore.

MSNBC liberal talker Chris Matthews -- who once admitted getting a "thrill" up his leg while hearing Obama speak -- chastised the president recently over his characterization of taxes.

"He should stop saying that giving people tax cuts is giving people money," Matthews intoned. "It's their money! A tax cut is when the government doesn't take our money. It's an important distinction!"

Wow! The lights are coming on even in the far-left side of the building! ---MORE---

When Obama has lost Chris Matthews you know the "party is over."

I predict Olberman will be like Captain Edward Smith of the Titanic... he will ride the sinking ship to the bottom.

Actually, according to survivor reports, Capt. Smith may not have done that... 03-wink

I always thought the "walked off the bridge into the water, rescued an infant, swam to a lifeboat w/ baby in arms, and swam away when told there was no room for himself, even though he had rescued the infant" was a great survivor story!

I doubt that's a reflection of his ability to reason as much as it is a recognition of shifting viewer sentiments (or the need to appeal to a broader audience).

OK, who is this guy and what did they do with the real Chris Matthews?

Things must be going real bad for Obama when his own cheerleaders piss on his leg. I wonder if he knows how bad it is or if he thinks that we're too stupid to see the genius of his policies.
