Iran Woman Who Faced Stoning to Be Lashed, Son Says

The son of an Iranian woman who had faced death by stoning for adultery says authorities have imposed a new sentence of 99 lashes after a British newspaper ran a picture of an unveiled woman and mistakenly identified it as his mother.

Sajjad Qaderzadeh, 22, said Monday he did not know whether the sentence had been carried out.

The Times of London corrected the erroneous photo caption that identified the unveiled woman in the picture as 43-year-old Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani.

"Publishing the photo provided a judge an excuse to sentence my poor mother to 99 lashes on the charge of taking a picture unveiled," Qaderzadeh told The Associated Press.

Iran has delayed the stoning sentence after an international outcry.

That's Sharia Law for you...

Wanna talk hypocritical? We might not want a mosque built near the WTC site because of what it represents but you lefties ***** about the Confederate flag because of what it represents. Once again, freedom of speech is a right only the left seems to have.

Yes, killing a person is so the same as speaking out against constructing a building or re-writing the dictionary.

Maybe you haven't kept up but one of the major problems people have with Islam is their treatment of women. Or at least us Neanderthals on the right have a problem with their abuse of women.

Not that the left ever had any but the little bit of moral high ground they used to claim they are rapidly tossing out.

Liberals support the building of a mosque at ground zero, but hate religion in general. YOU CAN See the elite liberals are not grounded in anything, so how can you be hypocritical if you believe in nothing, and everything has gray area. That's how that works.
