I see his point and can appreciate the symetry especially with the themeing of the campus and the new stadium. The ocean is one of FAU's calling cards especially with our association with HBOI and the submersibles. Its even in our name Florida ATLANTIC University.

But it just wouldnt feel right not being the Owls.

Though how cool would it be to see a mascot battle between WKU's Red Blob and a FAU Wave.

Middle Tennessee Pedagogues. After a little wikipedia research apparently this was an unofficial nickname they used before adopting "Blue Raiders." A pedagogue is basically a teacher. There is nothing more I feared or loathed growing up than a mean teacher.

Troy Bucks Again with a little research (troyalabama.com) I found out that the city of Troy was originally called Deer Stand Hill because of the deer that would roam the area. It was later renamed after the Attorney General of North Carolina Alexander Troy (not sure why). Although I understand the lameness of the their towns history but since there is no connection to the ancient civilization of Troy or the Trojans. I figure they could honor their towns actual history even if it is lame. Plus I'm sure the condom jokes get old.
