RE: US Executing Prisoners of War?
I suspect if this is the case that soon it will be confirmed in a very public way by our media, which rarely miss an opportunity to bash the military. Of course, most of the media have never had the experience of battle or the "fog" of war. IF it is going on, there will undoubtedly be some of our soldiers that abhor it and will talk and confirm it.

Given the P.C. suggestions coming from our Politicos like reading combatants captured their Miranda rights on the battlefield, maybe turning them over to the Afghan military is not an altogether terrible idea. Just a thought.

That comment section make this board look absolutely tame and somewhat sane.

As history has shown SO many military members to be falsely accused, I'll side by my fellow GIs. Prove it then talk ****. I'm sick of this media-driven court system that convicts our men of honor before they've even been to a GDamn trial.

Just how much longer is this useless war going to continue? I hope this is not true.

Find this very hard to believe.

More likely is the old bastard Hersh is trying to recapture his glory days.

Those people are CRAZY!

From what I read, the guy offered ZERO proof of executions.

This to me is an old story. If you want to close Guantonamo, you do not ship more prisoners there, so what are the alternatives? The bigger problem is we are losing intelligence sources.

I don't reject the possibility that battlefield executions have happened in Iraq or Afghanistan. Its happened in the past and it will happen in future conflicts. The effects of stress on poor judgment can result in some stupid 18 year old boot camp grad with a rifle feeling he needed to get some revenge for his battle bud. Now, unlike this journalist is promoting, I don't see it being treated as SOP by ANY level of the chain.

Since Obama is Commander in Chief, I demand he be arrested and charged with War Crimes Of the Higher Order at the World Court in The Hague.

Wait, if it was good enough for the left to claim on Bush.......
