Faith and Power: Religion and Politics in the Middle East

Among the ideas that he presents are that the third wave of Islamic conquest of the West is cultural and demographic.

Interesting read. Are you familiar with Robert Spencer's work? He has written extensively over the past decade about the cultural and demographic shifts occurring in Europe.

His books, and website, are good. Another good one on the cultural and demographic shifts in Europe, and here, is Mark Steyn's America Alone.

Mark Steyn is one of the few writers for whom I make a point to -- as best I can -- read every thing he writes. His ability to strip the bullsh*t away from an issue and present the unvarnished core in a way that just about everybody can understand is amazing. Plus he is hilariously funny even when he's talking about uncomfortable subjects. I have certainly read America Alone and recommend it to pretty much anyone. I have to say, though, AA is greatly undermined by the absence of footnotes/endnotes/etc. I know what he is saying is broadly true, and I agree with it, but still if you're going to say something like, "The birthrate in Holland over the past 30 years changed from X to Y", it sure helps if you cite your sources.
