There are sponsors all over the tracks, cars, driver suits etc.... and they still have to interupt a race to show commercials. I think they should make the sponsors of the drivers/teams pay a broadcast fee to keep commercials to minimum.
A southern guy that likes NASCAR. Who would have thought? 03-lmfao

If it's good enough for soccer to just have a logo in one corner (instead of stopping coverage to go to a commercial - NASLs first goal was scored during a commercial, no wonder it didn't last) I'd think it would be enough for NASCAR as well. Especially since most of the companies advertising during a race have their logos prominently displayed on at least one of the cars.

Maybe they could come to an agreement. During the Budweiser 15 minutes they could show the Bud car for 90 seconds, regardless of its position in the field.

well flash forward and numb3rs were canceled, while brain dead shows like cougartown, the middle and parenthood were picked up. It's amazing how brain dead most Americans have become. Good shows are either on the fence or getting canceled, while shows with no redeeming qualities are getting high ratings. How sad

With commercials containing several people you often see a black person, Asian person, woman or whatever. The truth of the matter is the largest populations of this country are white and hispanic - wouldn't you target those people by using actors you feel your audience would be most comfortable with? If the liberals are correct and we conservatives are all a bunch of racist sexists then using a black female to sell a product would elimate that entire demographic.....sorry, ranting a little.

Has anyone noticed how the environment has crept into the message of many commercials? Like who gives a ****?
Just what I expect from a rightie. "Who gives a **** about the environment". Greed and profits is what it is all about. As long as you get yours, you could care less about anything else.

So I'm going to spend thousands of dollars more on a car because it uses a bit less gas than the car driven by Al Gore only to have that savings, and the savings of millions of other people around the world who tried to keep our air clean, offset by a naturally caused volcano in Iceland. The Earth seemed to have recovered nicely from all the previous volcanos in the hisroty of the planet but now it can't recover from a SUV?
