LaRouche Friend Breaks All Records in Brazil Election Win
http://www.larouchepub.com/other/2002/29...n_win.html Wrote:The Brazil election victory by a strong nationalist intellectual leader who is a friend and ally of LaRouche, coming only two weeks after the Sept. 25 vote by Italy's Chamber of Deputies in support of LaRouche's proposal to establish a New Bretton Woods reform of the international monetary system, marks a giant step forward for the U.S. Presidential candidate's global recovery strategy.

http://en.mercopress.com/2010/04/30/braz...e-magazine Wrote:Why did Lula top the list? Because—writes Michael Moore—the Brazilian president has taught the world, but especially the US, a lesson: ”The great irony of Lula da Silva’s presidency—he was elected to a second term in 2006 and will serve through this year—is that even as he tries to propel Brazil into the First World with government social programs like Fome Zero (Zero Hunger), designed to end hunger, and with plans to improve the education available to members of Brazil’s working class, the US looks more like the old Third World every day.“

And, we have the leadership to prove it.

Hey, Brasil has become energy independent on his watch (though it truth that was due far more to things done by his predecessors) and they have adopted a French-style health care system (the two tracks are often described as the "free" one and the "good" one). So they are ahead of where I would like to see us go in at least a couple of areas.

Quote:”What Lula wants for Brazil is what we used to call the American Dream. We in the US, by contrast, where the richest 1% now own more financial wealth than the bottom 95% combined, are living in a society that is fast becoming more like Brazil.” - Michael Moore

It's amusing whenever someone among the richest 1% bitterly complains about the richest 1%.
