When British Prime Minister Gordon Brown took exception to a woman's complaint about illegal immigration into the UK, he quickly called her a bigot. Funny thing, the illegals she was referring to are mostly white people from other European nations whose physical appearance is the same as people from the UK. How can you be bigot for saying you don't want illegals who have no discernible differences flooding your country?

Liberal Playbook RULE #1 when someone says something you don't like call them a name, especially a name that makes them look evil. Bigot isn't quite like being racist, but it is close.

He called her a "bigot". That's different than "racist". It's also a meaningless word.

You are correct, I changed my original post to reflect that. But still he was searching for a way to make someone that disagrees with his position look evil.

Agreed. Unfortunately, most people don't bother to realize what a pointless word "bigot" really is.

I'd say they call opponents names that put those opponents on the defensive. Call anyone a racist and that person immediately stops attacking you and defends himself.

Name calling is great sign that they are empty of ideas and void of rational thought.
