Yeah. We know nuclear plant are really safe because they are full of technology so that accidents can't happen. You said the same damn thing about drilling and how is that working out for Louisiana? Maybe Jusus can come in and save the day. Oh wait, didn't one of your heroes say Katrina happened because they were sinners? Maybe that is the reason they will get hit with this oil "spill" too? Idiot.

Just what the f--k are we supposed to use to power our cars, our homes, our factories, our malls, our street lights, etc.? What are we supposed to replace the petroleum with that goes into almost every f'n plastic product out there? You don't like nuclear, you don't like oil, you don't like natural gas, chances are you don't like burning wood, what the f--k are we supposed to you, you nutjob? Oh, I get it, you have no answers, just displaying once again that you're nothing but a whiny little ***** too GDamn stupid to do anything on your own.

You're a serf. A pod. Not worth the epidermal tissue used to cover your sorry ass.

How about wind and solar? I am quite sure there are other solutions to befound. I am not saying this will happen overnight but "drill baby drill" obviously isn't the answer. My main point is that you and the "drill baby drill" crowd said this couldn't happen because of the modern technology and plans. The same thing has been said by the same people about nuclear.

I think most everyone is happy to go to wind and solar, but until they are ready for the big time you have to "drill baby drill." It is that simple, RobertN. We need new energy sources now, you can't just sit back and wait or you will have a severe energy crunch in the VERY near future.

Ok, let's put a wind farm in your back yard. Cool? BTW, if it's so efficient, why wouldn't their usage be more prevalent? No, I don't accept your dumb*** argument that somehow some boogyman at an oil company is preventing it.

BTW, what happens when the wind stops blowing? I'm assuming you are intellectually capable enough to know wind isn't constant. You also should know that sun rays aren't constant. One other thing, what's going to replace the petroleum-based plastics?

Obviously wind and solar aren't going to solve all our problems on their own. There are other sources too like geothermal. THe point is to get us on to renewable resources. As far as plastics go. We need to find a replacement for oil based plastics. I am quite sure there is someone out there smart enough to come up with a solution. Heck, there may be one out there now. I haven't done a lot of reading on the subject.

So, you're just going to denigrate anyone who thinks we need to do with what we have now until the day we find that replacement?

More basic question: What's going to replace petroleum-based gasoline?

Because nothing that you have mentioned will. At least not for an extremely long time--measured in decades if not centuries.

Each one of the above has killed people. Yet you heartlessly still use chemicals, benefit from mined materials, use energy from coal plants, and put syrup on your pancakes.

One event over decades of GLOBAL Nuclear use, including in battle zones.

As you can see, liar, nobody has been saying what you claim. If you would do a little reading instead of "so what you are saying" you would know that everyone is well aware of the inherent dangers and costs of oil. Everyone specifically was talking about how much safer nuclear is than oil, gas, coal, hydro, you know, everything we use now. Ergo, not saying accidents like this spill couldn't happen. Liar.

They're trying to make a tiny "Sun" out in California by shooting lasers at a BB. This might work, but I doubt it. . .
