RE: Big East Bowls
BCS
Champs - Florida
Mienke - NC
Pinstripe - NYC
Pizza - Birmingham
St. Pete - Florida
Liberty Bowl - Memphis - Quazi hybrid arrangement to be determined.

Lost the Gator Bowl - Higher payout and NYD Bowl but the jerk running it had nothing good to say about the BE when we were there though the BE usually brought more fans than the ACC.

Lost the Sun Bowl option but distance was a factor traveling to Texas. Not a bad bowl though with the PAC 10 as an opponent, but not a NYD Bowl 2 out of the 4 years in the Sun Gator hybrid arrangement.

International Bowl gone but replaced with the higher paying Pin Stripe bowl in NYC avoiding passport and travel problems. Big win on this move especially from a financial perspective and with the location for all of the Northern schools in the conference.

Lateral move at best and maybe a slight improvement over all. The Sun Bowl was not played on NYD in that Gator Sun arrangement so a BE school would only play 2 of the 4 years on NYD - 1 year if the Gator took ND over the BE when they had the chance. The Pin Stripe Bowl is a great pick up financially and in the heart of the BE. And given entry into the Liberty Bowl once that arrangement is worked out with the Pizza Bowl and the SEC I would say we have improved the bowl situation over the last go round. Its not a B-10, B-12, or SEC cash bonanza but the new commish can get an atta boy on this one.

5 of the 6 bowls are played against BCS opponents. So I think it's a slight improvement.

Yep, that's about the best bottom-line summary of our new bowl lineup, and there's two ways to look at it: it sucks because the old lineup sucked, or it's not so bad because we could have done worse.

RE: Big East Bowls
yeah, its about as near the best possible I guess.
The Liberty (details?), thanks to the sec, is a surprise and will help, imo.
Basically, though the BE has had to sadly start their own bowls to survive.
