Dude, how is it wrong to enforce a law already on the federal books?

Check it out: It's a crime to kidnap someone, but it becomes a federal crime if you cross state lines while doing it - the ONLY difference is crossing a state line. Because it's now a federal crime does that mean states should have no law on the books making it illegal and does it mean local police shouldn't make an arrest if they get the opportunity? You're implying it's wrong to make a law that copies to some extent a federal law? 01-wingedeagle

As for "Driving while Hispanic" are you saying that only Latinos can be illegals? You're a racist. I'm willing to bet we have a few Flips, Chinks, Nips, Wops, Krauts, etc in this county. What you probably fail to realize is that the cops just aren't going to start stopping Mexicans for no other reason than to check their papers. When a burrito brother is stopped for a moving violation and he has no license, registration, insurance, or SS number then that's probably a good time to check his residency status.

Finally, you lefties don't know what the Constitution is. You make people buy insurance against their will and go on to call a group of people who disagree with you racists when they try to exercize their freedom of speech and association.

So it is legal to pull someone over for no reason except being hispanic and "looks" like an illegal? It is legal to stop a hispanic walking down the street because they are hispanic and "look" illegal? Really? What country are you talking about?

He did not say that, driveby.

The law, which you probably didn't read, was just passed today and already you're an expert on what's in it and how it will be enforced. Do you really think that the police are going to stop a guy because he looks Hispanic? Christ almighty, don't you think that right now the police are teaching their street cops to be overly cautious on this because of the high visibility this thing has recieved and they don't want a high profile screw up that the NY Times can plant on the front page? Just because you liberals do everything to the extreme doesn't mean conservatives do - thus the term "conservative."

Yes, I do because the bill allows(even encourages) that of the police. Try reading it sometime.

Not to be annoying..but..It really does not matter what the hell the law says....Cops do whatever the hell they want...without consequences. Unless there is actual camera footage of wrong doing or multiple eye witnesses...they get a slap on the wrist and then back on the job. The thin blue line is one of the most corrupt aspects of the governmental structure.

Government protection services do not have to respond to market signals and are NOT obligated to "serve or protect"...unlike the silly slogans on the cars advocate. If so...I could sue them for failing to protect me for a crime committed against me. I can't...and the SCOTUS has ruled so in numerous cases.

Maybe not but that is what the bill says. Go read it.

What is the Constitutional justification for regulating immigration? I know there was a Supreme Court decision back in the day that ruled that it was reserved to congress (instead of the states) but I can't find the case.
