RE: Marinatto: Maryland, BC, UCF and Penn State in the Big East?

Most everyone prefers all-sports, but in the case of the Big East, certain non-football schools (such as Georgetown an Villanova) do add considerable value. However,
(1) Some dead limbs need to be pruned, and
(2) The non-football members should not have equal voting power
Georgetown and Villanova's blind loyalty to such weak-sisters as Seton Hall may ultimately cost them their BCS prestige and perception. If I were an alum of one of those schools, I would urge my administrators to carefully consider what hangs in the balance. If a split eventually occurs, it will, for certain BE schools be poetic justice.
