I worked on a volunteer rescue unit for 10 years. I can tell you that this would NOT have occurred with the unit I was a part of. We had oversight from the local hospital and we ALWAYS brought accident victims to the ER even if the coroner had pronounced them deceased. No rescue worker should ever put his self in this situation in the first place. There are so many things wrong with the way this was handled that I dont know where to begin. Totally screwed up from beginning to end. Man..are the lawyers going to have a field day with this one.
