I probably would have voted Jarvis, but I suspect I thought ASU was better going in than most of the voters did considering they had ASU picked so far down in the west.

agreed most of us on our board thought we would finish behind Denver and UNT but ahead of everyone else out west. but the rest of the league had us better then basically just UNO

RE: All Conference Selections announced
I will say I am surprised Tim Williams did not make first team.

Here is an analysis of the three biggest stats in basketball:
PPG = Points per game; RPG = Rebounds per game; APG = Assists per game;

Nate Rohnert, Denver
14.4 PPG
5.5 RPG
3.9 APG

Tyren Johnson, Louisiana-Lafayette
18.0 PPG
8.0 RPG
3.3 APG

Desmond Yates, Middle Tennessee
13.6 PPG
4.0 RPG
0.5 APG

Brandon Hazzard, Troy
16.6 PPG
1.9 RPG
1.6 APG

AJ Slaughter, WKU
17.7 PPG
3.4 RPG
4.5 APG

Tim Williams, USA
16.1 PPG
7.4 RPG
2.2 APG

So ranking them accoring to stats:

PPG
1. Johnson
2. Slaughter
3. Hazzard
4. Williams
5. Rohnert
6. Yates

RPG
1. Johnson
2. Williams
3. Rohnert
4. Yates
5. Slaughter
6. Hazzard

APG
1. Slaughter
2. Rohnert
3. Johnson
4. Williams
5. Hazzard
6. Yates

Average the rankings and you get:

1. Johnson (1.67)
2. Slaughter (2.67)
3T Williams (3.33)
3T Rohnert (3.33)
5. Hazzard (4.67)
6. Yates (5.33)

I would made Williams First Team.

.
I concur. I would've swapped Williams for Rohnert and I think Haddock for Middle had a better year than Yates.

I think Yates got consideration that he has the knee injury, and career award. Our best player right now is Calvin O'Neill.

Brady got Kermit's vote, I'm sure. They are best of friends.

Williams is a real, real nice player but I am thrilled that Rohnert was honored.

#1 Rohnert is a senior and this is his last chance at it where as Williams is a junior and will be a lock for next year.

#2 and more importantly, you have to take into consideration pace of game... with the Princeton style you have to think that 14.4 ppg for Denver is like 20+ ppg for most teams.

And I love his assist to turnover ratio.

I don't have a problem that Rohnert made it. However, I would have put Williams in ahead of Hazzard or Yates based on stats.

Go Jags!

I thought Vogler should have made it before Hazzard for Troy.
