Really? Do you really want to go there? Idiots elected another idiot based on "hope" and "change", without even knowing what that hope and change was. Idiots you align with voted for someone based on a catch phrase. Idiots who thought he was going to pay their mortgage and gas.

Really? Obama is a walking, talking talking point. That's all. That's all he's ever been. He has absolutely ZERO accomplishments outside of academia.

Health insurance companies are making about 3.3% profit margin.

Exactly. Pelosi and the dems know they are going to get creamed in November. So it's time to go scorched earth. They know that if they push this through they will create yet another gigantic entitlement that will make people further dependent on government. There will come a time, not too far in the future, where they can campaign that Republicans want to steal your healthcare and let you die. At that point, because of people's forced dependency on their new government entitlement, they can sweep back into office.

I still don't think reconcilliation will happen, but that's not to say they won't try like hell.

I actually agree, mostly (not with the first sentence, but the rest). Tort reform and cross-state competition would probably do some good, and address costs, which the Democrats dishonestly claim to be doing.

There is probably a great deal of good that could be done with health care reform, but I think that with the Democrats in power, the harm far outweighs the good that would come from it. I think the best thing that could be done is to start from scratch with the Republicans having a real voice in power and real responsibility that comes with it. But, they have to see that (1) there is a problem, and (2) there is a demand for a solution.

They already are. The Republicans want to take away Medicare which will hurt a large portion of the Republican base(old, dumb white men). The main reason I say dumb is because so many don't even know that Medicare is a government program.

You're a f'n idiot. It is the republicans fighting Obamacare because it cuts Medicare by hundreds of billions.

STFU fool, you have no idea about anything.

First, I think I said the Republican "plan" wouldn't do much good? What exactly is harmful about the Democrats plan? The Republicans were given chances to participate, they just didn't want to because their plan for the country is for Obama to fail rather than help the people of the country.

Sure they are now. As I said it is large portion of the Republican oting population. They haven't supported it in the past but now that there is a political reason to keep it, they say they want it.
