Trend in MLB schedules?
Just looking at this year's MLB schedules one thing I notice which has been a trend is a fewer amount of homestands greater than 6 games. Not sure if its a plus or a minus, I imagine that means more travel logged by the teams, but as a fan I always found it kind of nice to have a few 10 game home stands a year. Anyone else notice this trend or why it might be shaping up like that?

RE: Trend in MLB schedules?
With teams trying to cut expenses you would think that baseball would consider lengthening homestands so that teams have fewer back and forth trips from their home park to play short road trips of 3 or 4 games. I think the 3 game road trip is a money and fuel waster
