Bob Barr, same as the first time.

And I don't like him, but at least I didn't vote for either of the clowns that the major parties ran.

A better question for me would be, if you could have voted for anyone last time, who would you vote for?

And I think the answer to that one is Ron Paul. Wouldn't be the first time I voted for him for president.

Where's Chuck Baldwin on the list?

Probably, Ron Paul, I may have stayed with Obama if I knew there was going to be a republican house or senate.

I said McCain not because of his liberal leanings. We need a war time commander in chief, not a Harvard Intellectual. And I use the term Intellectual very very loosely.

Rudy. He ran something, had to stick to a budget, proved himself during a difficult time, moderate republican. Romney was/is my second choice.

I wonder if anyone has the cajones to say they'd pick Obama, Edwards, Clinton or Kucinich.....

I would have loved to have seen Edwards get the nod for VP and then have all the affair and divorce crap come out.

It was a hard decision. I was torn between Giuliani, and Edwards. Obama just doesn't provide the comedic value of these two. Ultimately, I went with the drag queen. 05-stirthepot

From what little was known of his full platform, I was a Fred Thompson supporter and would (depending on his fully fleshed out positions) still vote for him today.

Plus, he is a splitting image of my friend's father, and apparently the reincarnation of Vigo the Destroyer from Ghostbusters II, which as we all know based on the skills sets of current candidates, is as good of reason to vote for someone as anything else.

+1

ETA: I like many of Ron Paul's ideas, but I'm afraid I sense a little Ross Perot crackpot in there too, and that makes me nervous.

I personally would want maybe a Huckabee for that very reason. He also shows something that the other candidates didn't, and that is sensibility. Arkansas didn't do too bad under him either.

He is also what I would call a Jack Kemp republican given that he was not afraid to talk to black voters.

Giuliani. The guy is a proven, experienced executive. He took over a struggling city in 1993 and rebuilt the foundation for what it has rebounded to. He established a highly effective crime fighting/tracking system which has been adopted for other purposes. He knows how to place the right people into the right positions. He's a Repub who got two terms in NYC. He's fiscally conservative, and socially moderate (picks his battles here). And I was thoroughly impressed by his leadership book (and I've read more than a fair share of leadership texts). McCain was my second. Two words: Navy pilot.

Unless McCain choses Lieberman as VP....I would still write in Ron Paul.

Palin cost the Reps my vote.

I have to thank Bob Barr. He got me to formally leave the LP(after being a member for 21 years) when they picked him as the candidate. I now know that the LP is a damn joke. No way in Hell could I cast a vote for that guy after he was an overseer of prohibition.
