Of course a Republican would lose his job,
But not an old race hustling whore like Pelosi.

How many of the "nucular" angst crowd will defend this?

RE: Of course a Republican would lose his job,
So Nancy gets a pass on her politically incorrect speech also? Like Obama, Reid, Biden, et. al? It all depends on the R or D that follows your name, doesn't it?

All rhetorical questions.

This is not news. She didn't say anything wrong and I don't give a damn about PC.

RE: Of course a Republican would lose his job,
It would be news if it were a Republican. And some are offended. And MANY more would be if it were a Republican.

A Republican can't even say Happy Birthday to an old fart.

Just stating the double standard here. She gets a pass, an R wouldn't.

RE: Of course a Republican would lose his job,
Are they also offended by the more educated black Americans using "black" a la HBCU? Just like the UNCF using negro. That's two "offensive" acronyms associated with higher education.

What about:
Congressional Black Caucus
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
National Association of Black Journalists
National Society of Black Engineers
and the ever offensive Miss Black USA

She should have just said black. There is obviously nothing offensive about it if these (and more) use the term.

Why is there always a double standard? Blacks and whites, Dem and Rep., Men and Women and men and women teachers, , Muslims and Christians. How do these passes get dealt?

RE: Of course a Republican would lose his job,
I have 100% certainty that Garafalo, Ogreman, Mathews and all the talking heads on the left would be running with this if it had come from someone on the right. And the race hustlers. Imagine someone like Palin saying "whatever the name was in those days". Their career could very well be over with. All the above and the media would crucify a conservative with remarks such as "We all know what the name was in those days. Come on out and say it you racist *****".

And a Conservative would have been no more guilty than Pelosi. Just looking for politically correct words and stumbling.

It's just the way of the world. It isn't acceptable but it happens and there isn't much anyone can do about it. Double standards go both ways though, don't forget that.

RE: Of course a Republican would lose his job,
There's some sort of quota that needs to be met when traveling.

This guy hasn't looked at a basketball game recently, has he? Or an NFL defensive backfield, wide reciever or punt returner. It's about being PC and the majority always loses when PC is involved.

Quote:Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) has called on Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to demote the official coordinating Haiti relief efforts for not having enough minority staffers.
The House Judiciary Committee Chairman sent a letter to Clinton on Thursday after Rajiv Shah, administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, showed up at a meeting with the 42-member Congressional Black Caucus without any African American staffers in tow.

“I was alarmed and chagrined to learn that none of the approximately dozen staff he brought with him were African American,”Conyers wrote in the letter. “This is so serious an error in judgment that it warrants his immediate demotion to a subordinate position at AID.”

Conyers is set to lead a congressional delegation to Haiti on Friday, his first visit to the island country since a massive earthquake destroyed much of the impoverished nation.

Just proves that Democrats as well as Republicans can say stupid things.

Not the point. Why is the double standard allowed to exist?

Republicans lose their jobs though. Reminds me of the true uncle toms. Massa (Dems) can get away with anything so long as massa doesn't put'em to work in the fields and allows them to remain in the house.

It doesn't have to be the same double standards. For example, there are some that give the upper hand to whites and there are some that give the upper hand to minorities.

It's one of the best reasons why life isn't fair for anyone.
