How bad will November be for democrats
Latest Rasmussen polls show two key democrats trailing likely Republican challengers. Bayh and Feingold both trail. With democrats ignoring the voice of the people and planning to move ahead with obamacare it sure looks like many dumocrats don't care about their political careers.

Well, Pelosi (whose has the best job security in the world) said the libs will push health care even if it cost them a few seats. She knows it's unpopular and she knows it will cost some of her fellow libs their jobs but she just doesn't care.

I don't think it will be as bad as you think. Believe me, even though I vote democratic for president doesn't mean I want a democratic congress. I want the repubs to take both houses but I just can't see them taking the Senate, they will probably take the house though. I want to see more indies in the mix though.

As of now, I predict the Republicans will pick up 30 in the House and 6 in the Senate.

Of course, the more ol' Barry steps in it, the more the Republicans will get.

Right now, short of a Pelosi meltdown after her attempt to railroad something controversial through the House, the only way the Republicans will take back the House in 2010 is if there is another terrorist attack within the US and Obama doesn't do anything "decisive" within 24 hours afterwards.

I think 30 is a safe bet for the house. I like 6 in the Senate, with the key scalp being that of Harry Reid.

The problem is that is some of the key swing districts republicans don't have solid candidates to run, i.e. Heath Schuler's district.

Anything can happen, but I'd wager no less than 30 pickups for the house.

Larry Sabato says 7 and 27, so he and you are pretty close.

It depends on when the second dip of the double dip hits. If it comes this year, 2010 is a blood bath for democrats. But I'm tending to think it won't hit until 2011. With health care "reform" dying and cap-and-trade and card-check dead, there won't really be anything to kick it off until the "stimulus" cash flow turns around and we have to start figuring out what to do about the debt. Of course, there are about 100 different things that could still kick it off this year--from terrorist attack to China not buying any more of our debt to blowup in Mideast to you name it.

And if that happens do you think the O along with Pelosi and Reid (if they're still around) would move towards the center or will their arrogance continue?

03-lmfao He has gone to the center. THe problem is you are so far right that you can't see the center.

As for how bad will it be? Not bad. What you guys aren't understanding is that you are thinking of this all wrong. They are losing in the polls because they aren't giving the people what they want(well, except some on the far right like most on this board). They want a public option at a minimum but their mouths were not heard so they are letting their voting do the talking. There will be a healthcare plan and there will be a public option so that should increase poll numbers for the Democrats. Of course, they want to see an improving economy too. Which seems to be coming around slowly. So if it gets noticably better, you lose.

I still have to laugh at the use of the Rasmusson poll.
