Was running through the 2010 schedule and someone informed me that I had Rutgers at FIU on the wrong week (week two and week one). That leaves RU and SU as teams that haven't officially set a week one opponent.

I have been told that Maine is targeted as SU's opening opponent and Morgan St. should be RU's, but I guess since its open, I could see ESPN taking advantage of it.

Please God no. RU and SU really aren't in any position to face each other next season without some sort of tune-up to see where they are at.

Matt...pretty sure SU is going to play at Akron. Nothing final but it is looking that way.

To open the season? Cool. I had heard September 18th initially but Akron is scheduled at Kentucky that day.

It was but it changed. Your Rutgers scenario could still be true as the Akron game could be pushed back into October.

Um I think we're done with conference/season openers for a while.

I'm pretty sure Rutgers is opening with Tulane

No thanks. That would mean two straight road games. Somebody on syracusefan.com said the Akron game was going to be in Week 1...and SU was thinking about playing the game on Thursday 9/2 to give the team more rest before the cross-country flight to Washington.

Hope it ain't Thursday. More for selfish reasons on my part. Akron's about 1.25 hours from me, depending when I get out of work and can get down there. Parts of I-271 and part of I-77 have had some construction for a few years and its something I don't care to drive on a late evening.

If the Orange could somehow win that game, with Locker coming back, that would give The BEast some instant credibility for the season...
